Keith freezes. He can’t tell if it’s judgmental, or curious, or—what—but he turns, slowly, and faces the boy.
He looks normal. Not like he’s going to say something rude about the origin of Keith’s pajama pants.
“Yeah,” he says cautiously. “My friend got them but they didn’t fit. They were on clearance so she couldn’t return them, so I use them instead.”
(Keith really hopes confirming this isn’t a bad move—)
“Aw, man,” the boy says, and Keith only has the barest second to panic before: “My sister likes their pajamas so I was hoping to get them for her for Christmas. But I guess if it was on clearance they might not be selling them anymore.”

Summary
Lance owns a witch themed cat cafe that rescues black cats. Each one has a unique collar and color coded name to help tell them apart. He's not supposed to play favorites, but he's already adopted his favorite, Red, as his own. Cold and distant to everyone, Red is extremely affectionate to Lance. Needy. Clingy. Protective. But Lance doesn't mind. He makes Lance's home a little less lonely. He's a little weird, but aren't all cats? He loves his baby boy, and he's eternally grateful for the day that little black fluff ball crossed his path.
Lance doesn't think twice about Red's odd quirks. That is, until he wakes up with a naked stranger in his bed.
And hey! Turns out Red is actually a witch named Keith who's been cursed to be a cat for twenty years. A really hot witch who's still very affectionate towards Lance.

Shiro’s jaw dropped slightly, offended at his vehement tone. “What- why not?!”
Adam gave Shiro the most exasperated look he could manage. “Are you serious? Do you think you have any right to give advice on how to ask someone out with what you pulled with me?”
Keith raised his eyebrows at that and turned to look at his brother. “Damn, Shiro, what did you do?”
In which, Shiro is a gay disaster, Adam is sassy, and Keith just wants some dating advice...

Lance huffs as much as he can when there's a large wolf crushing his chest. "That doesn't mean it's not uncomfortable."
"You'll survive." He pats his wolf one last time before pushing to his feet. "Better luck next time, Lance."
"I'll get you one day, Keithy boy." He calls out as Keith walks away, disappearing from his vision and continuing down the path. "Just you wait."

“This would be a pretty sweet place for an ambush, actually,” Lance says softly. Keith follows his eyes, squinting at the mass of dust that reaches almost to the walls, like a roiling, smoky ceiling.
“We already scanned the place, and it’s a ghost town,” Keith says, slipping free of Lance’s grip and forging ahead. “Plus we’re nowhere near the base yet.”
“Right,” Lance says, but he’s tapping his helmet and opening up communications anyway, following Keith at a distance. “Hey guys, anyone else feelin’ that warm and fuzzy ‘I’m being watched' feeling?”prompt: Lance jumps in and takes a bullet for Keith when they're separated from the group, and it seems like a fairly minor wound, but the bullet was poisoned, and now Keith has to get Lance back to the castle.

“Maybe they want it because it’s so hard to take,” Keith says, squinting into the lukewarm light and open space. Every line of every wall is clean, plain, and nearly identical to the last one.
“That does sound like Galra logic,” Lance groans. “Someone needs to have the ‘consent is sexy’ talk with Sendak.”
“Are you volunteering?” Keith asks, playing along, one hand on his weapon.
“Oh, definitely. I’m going to single-handedly defeat the Galra empire by teaching them sex ed.”
Keith laughs, startled.
--------Keith bows his head, forehead to Lance’s hands. They turn over against his scalp and comb through his hair. “No more missions until you’ve spent a week in a healing pod.”
“You don’t have the authority to do that, bucko.”
“No more missions until you’ve spent a week in a healing pod,” Allura echoes, and Lance curses.
“How about no more mazes,” Shiro offers. “Ever.”
“Deal,” Lance says.
