Lieutenant Kim Kitsuragi got into an accident the first day he arrived in Martinaise, fell into a coma for two more days, and then woke up without remembering a goddamn thing. Not ideal to say the least, especially when you have to solve a lynching with a man as obnoxious as Harry Du Bois.

Summary
Softly, he smoothes the edges of the dark circles that ever linger under Kim’s eyes. The simple motion aches with a level of casual intimacy that sets Kim’s teeth on edge. A feral dog being offered a collar with a name he cannot read.
“Let me go,” Kim whispers.
This isn’t how these things are supposed to go at all. Men like Harrier Du Bois either fuck him (with a suspicious amount of interest) or they don’t (with a blatant but familiar level of distaste). They don’t mean it when they compliment him. They don’t think he’s cool for his silly smoking ritual or outdated dance moves. They don’t laugh when they kiss him just because they’re happy to be with him.
They don’t hold him like he’s something precious.
