“Well, good!” Callie juts one finger toward Acht as though she were holding a microphone, and… Acht thinks she just winked at them? If she did, however, Callie seems to have forgotten she’s wearing an eyepatch on the left side. “I don’t want to hear any lingering doubts. We’re having fun tonight!”
Callie pulls back to center, a sunshine smile plastered to her face. She takes a moment to tuck her pigtails back behind dorsal fin ears and readjusts her silky scarlet bandana higher up her forehead.
“Right,” Acht snorts, their scratchy voice more gnarled as their tone drops. “Because going back underground is my idea of a good time.”

The wind is really whipping through Luna Snow's hair, now that she's thinking about it.
Locks of black and white have equal dominion over ruining her Pacific eyeshadow as a very sudden, very violent windstorm sends ripples through her already messy French bob. Goosebumps ride the wind across the sandy dunes of her midriff.
Luna tries looking into the bisexual aurora of a half-dozen atmospheres approaching the Roche limit, but finds her eyes stung shut by razor winds. She covers her face with crossed arms, leathery shoulder jacket flopping about, flimsier than a penny dreadful in these gale forces.

"Look at this," she mutters, inviting him in.
Their foreheads press together, and together they investigate the dark space between their chests.

Once Hau reaches the apex of the plateau, he collapses beside a faux boulder with definitely-not-obvious Aether surveillance equipment sticking out of the side. A Wimpod crests from the mud nearby, wriggles its carapace free, and — true to its nature — races off to sights unseen.
This undoubtedly disappoints anyone watching the wildlife stream online.
"Hooo-wee." Hau throws his head back with a few sibilant pants. His chest steadily rises and falls as he catches his breath. It smells of almond up top. "Why don'tcha have more stairs built 'round this place?"
"We do have stairs. In the designated observation wings." Gladion drums the railing. "Most people don't get lost in the habitats and have to crawl their way out."

Draped in silky smooth, pearlescent fabric jammies that are perfectly attuned to the desert chill which rides moonlight into the chamber, Zelda should be ready to pass out and sink into the depths of a quilted cairn. Instead, she sits tensely cross-legged, Impa's golden nails wrecking their manicured edges as the princess incessantly picks and prods at the hem of her nightgown.
Until the creaking bedroom door bursts her bubble of tension.
Zelda's heart nearly bursts from her chest as she rolls onto her hip and stretches back toward that tall silhouette in the pristine, shell-topped doorway of faded cerulean.
