“You were driving, ‘cause you know I don’t have my license, but you had had like, half a bottle of tequila or something, and you–” Nicole swallows. “You crashed into Ari. You died, and I swear it felt so real. There was a funeral and everything.”
Jecka breathes slowly out her mouth, slumping her body forward. “Thats, uh…”
“Fucked up, I know. But I swear to you Jecka, it felt so real. I really fuckin’ thought you died, and I just-” She splays her hands out. “I don’t think I was even this sad when my dad died. And it wasn’t even real!” She laughs wetly.
OR:
Jecka dies in a car accident, and Nicole suffers with the survivor's guilt. A week after the funeral, she wakes up again on the morning of the night Jecka died- but she's not dead anymore.
