beomgyu has hanahaki. in this world, where one's secrets, lies, and strong emotions can manifest into physical symptoms of illnesses referred to as "rare diseases," keeping secrets can be a complicated thing. worse yet when you're a famous idol. worse yet when you're in love with a bandmate.
beomgyu keeps his hanahaki secret for so long that he's dying now, and he might never get better. the only ones who know are the dance teacher, who saw him coughing up the flowers first, a manager, and the rare disease therapist they send him to.his teammates don't know what's wrong with him. they don't know why he and taehyun have been fighting -- if they've been fighting at all. they don't know why he's so distant now.
and whatever it is they do know, choi beomgyu and kang taehyun both won't tell.
(also soobin might've been sick in the past, too. but he's fine now. right?)alternating povs (predominantly beomgyu) fic with altered hanahaki rules. hanahaki (usually) can be cured via confession. hanahaki is one of many rare diseases. also, rare diseases can be contagious.

So when he - quite literally - stumbles over a pretty stranger injured in an alleyway, he wasn’t expecting that stranger to be a member of one of the most powerful nests in magical society.

Through the years, the five boys who came together one afternoon to intertwine their fates became not only friends and family, but lovers too.
One might think it’s impossible to love two people, let alone four. But it has never been hard for Beomgyu. Affection, desire, and love came as easily as breathing.
The only thing he is unable to give is what all four of them desire from him: a mating bite. Being a late bloomer, unpresented, Beomgyu’s wolf is still asleep; he cannot claim them the way they all want to belong to each other. He has no scent — apart from the milky undertone of an unpresented wolf — to bask in, or to rub it into the other’s skin.
Despite all of that, Beomgyu takes care of his pack, of his mates, because he doesn’t need to claim them to love and cherish them.
