“Ladies and Gentlemen,” he intones in one of the most sonorous voices Eddie has ever heard in his life. “Fighting out of the red corner, wearing black trunks and weighing one-hundred-seventy-five and a quarter pounds. Originally from the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. His professional record: thirty-three consecutive victories with twenty-eight knock-outs. It’s my pleasure to present the undefeated, undisputed light heavyweight champion of the world: his majesty, the King of the Ring … Steeeeeve Harringtoooooon!”

The way Steve wraps his arms around Eddie’s waist to pull him up, careful not to hurt him. How Eddie slings bony arms over Steve’s shoulders, fingers grazing the scars on the boy's back.
“Why didn't you ask me for help?” Steve asks. The rising sun basks the kitchen in oranges and golds, and for a second, Wayne is overcome by the thought that he mustn't blink, or they'll vanish.

“Fortunes told, futures unfold.”
The sign at the local ren faire looks tempting. After all, Steve is one year out of high school and has no idea where his life is going. Sometimes he wishes someone could just gaze into the future and figure it out for him.
In the fortune teller’s tent, Steve has a run-in with his past. And if he doesn’t turn on his heel and leave, it has absolutely nothing to do with how pretty Eddie Munson looks in his costume, all gleaming jewelry and dark tendrils of hair spilling out from under a patterned headscarf. He lets Eddie read his palm, because why the hell not? It’s all bogus anyway!
Except, as the summer goes on, Steve finds that Eddie’s cryptic predictions somehow, inexplicably keep coming true. As they keep running into each other, almost as if orchestrated by an invisible force, Steve can’t help but be intrigued with the other boy. He also can’t seem to forget how pretty Eddie’s eyes look in black liner, or the way his fingers feel on his skin, but that is an entirely different problem.

It’s the summer of 1985 and Eddie Munson is trying to stay out of trouble for once.
Okay, maybe he’s visiting the new mall more than strictly necessary so he can see a certain sailor at Scoops Ahoy but that’s his own damn business, thank you very much.
Imagine Eddie’s surprise when the hot jock he’s been crushing on turns out to be…kind of a good dude? Becoming friends with Steve Harrington goes against every tenet of the Munson Doctrine, but before Eddie can really get to know this new and exciting version of King Steve, he comes face to face with what’s lurking under Starcourt Mall. And emerges from the experience a lot smaller. And furrier.
Steve Harrington has resigned himself to his fate as a babysitter to a group of middle schoolers, but when he comes across a tiny bat with a wonky wing he’s not so sure if he wants to offer up his caregiving services to the furry creature, especially not when Robin insists that it probably, maybe, definitely has rabies. Steve finds himself quickly charmed by the little thing, especially when it looks at him so intently with those brown eyes that seem weirdly familiar.Of course, in Hawkins, it would be weirder if there wasn't something extra-dimensional going on.

The day after Scar breaks up with Grian, the dead come back to life. Knowing that venturing out alone is a death sentence, the sudden onset of the apocalypse forces them to stick together despite the tensions between them. In the wreckage of the world, they're forced to survive side-by-side, coming to terms with the fact that—try as they might—there's no one they trust more than each other.
“Go!” Grian shouts as the monster charges, putting his whole force into the blow.
Scar watches, frozen stiff as Grian fights until blood and gore and viscera mark the creature up like a Pollock painting.
“What are you waiting for?!” Grian snaps when he finally notices that Scar is still standing there. He grips his weapon tight and attacks a final time, slamming the zombie down—good and dead—and standing panting over top of it, strained but victorious. He starts rushing from the scene, calling back for Scar over his shoulder. “Run!”
And in a way that’s as familiar to him as breathing, Scar chases after him.
