Summary
At a young age, Bakugou found out that if it's not him that's helping, not his family that's helping, then there's a pretty good chance that no one is doing what they're supposed to be. That someone is being left to die, to hurt, to experience an injustice.
That means no breaks, ever. Not unless he can trust someone to take his place, not unless the rest of his family is working.
No breaks even though he still wakes up in the dead of night, breath scratching at his throat, imagined blood sticking to his hands, and the chest shattering need to make sure his guardian is safe.
Breaks are mandatory for anyone else; but Bakugou doesn't need them, doesn't deserve them.

Control. Aizawa needs control, the last time he attempted this, he almost lost his kid, he did hurt his kid.
He can feel it fraying, needs more time than five days.
But for his kid, he can do it; Aizawa can have this conversation with the care it needs, the gentleness, the control.

Summary
There's only one thing that matters now; it's not emotions, it's not sensations, it's just finding Aizawa... alive.
Bakugou just has to be controlled, calm, practical and unfeeling.
There's not much use for him but the least he can do is stay out of the way, keep himself under control, and forget about everything that isn't finding Aizawa.
Maybe when Aizawa is found... alive... he can let go. Maybe.

Darkness, silence, hands on the shoulders.
And Eraserhead, and Shouta, and no kids, no one he loves.
Aizawa just has to focus on breathing and he'll make it out of here fine, it doesn't matter how long it's been, nothing matters except breathing.
And when the building shakes for the first time, breathing briefly becomes easier.

Summary
If someone were to ask Bakugou what his worst fear was he'd probably shout in their face that he's not scared of a goddamn thing.
But he'd be a liar. This. This right here, terrifies him, horrifies him. Watching in real time the way Aizawa changes his mind about him finally, finding out that the secrets he kept were way worse than he ever could've imagined, that his betrayal of Aizawa goes deeper than he thought.
This might be one of his worst fears.

Some days Aizawa can half-believe that he's good for his kids, that at least he makes them happier, feel safe.
After today, those days will never exist, he'll never stop seeing Bakugou's stark terror, he'll never be able to forget that he caused it, that he scared his kid.
He'll never forget that he built a rotten, rotten foundation.

Bakugou just wants to have a nice walk with Aizawa, a day free of emotional baggage where he can just hang out with his guardian.
He knows better than to have hopes anywhere near U.A.
He should've known better than to expect to never have to interact with Toshinori again. Should've remembered what he's done to the man that refuses to listen to him.

There wasn't supposed to be an emergency, Aizawa had checked, but regardless he never should've made his kid wait twenty minutes. Not when Toshinori wasn't within line of sight.
But an emergency text comes in, Bakugou asks for help, and Aizawa refuses to let his kid down again.
He should've known he would fail, again. What he didn't expect, never could've, was to find out exactly why Bakugou is always so determined to be the first one into danger, why he refuses to ask for help.

Toshinori is a hero and a teacher. Young Bakugou is obviously upset if he's at U.A. to see him. As a hero and a teacher, Toshinori will help. He refuses to give up or back down, no matter what.

Summary
Bakugou waited for three months before he realized he fucked things up, and drove Aizawa away. This time, he waits thirty minutes.
But he's fine. Everything is fine. He'll just have to learn to be okay with it.
The ground is unsteady and everything is sharply cold.~
Aizawa plans the day perfectly so that he won't be late for dinner with Bakugou, and still fulfill his responsibilities to the new first years. Then, it all goes wrong, it always goes wrong, and he has to fight, has to finish something.
Ends up thirty minutes late for the dinner with his kid, the chance to prove himself.
There isn't anything Aizawa can do to fix it, Bakugou is already hurt, the best he can do is assure him that he's never leaving again, even if he already fucked up.Series
