"Authorities now suspect unknown poisoner in Levant murder:
Los Angeles, JA— Last week, homeowner Lana Lourd discovered the body of tenant Ira Levant, 26, when she came by to fix the deceased's faucet. Levant had been dead for 15 hours by the time Lourd found her. Authorities originally ruled Levant's death an accident, resulting from an unknown heart defect only discovered during Levant's autopsy. Forensics testing returned traces of high-potency toxins in Levant's body lotion this week. Lively Lotions spokesperson Nora Call had this to say about the discovery: 'Obviously, this is a terrible discovery. It suits them, two sides of the same coin that they are: polished, professional, traditional Kristoph with his designer neckties and clear coat manicures is a premier defense attorney. Klavier unbuttons his shirt to an almost shameless degree and gets on stage in luxury leather before touching up his purple polish for another televised prosecution.
It's all very fitting, if you ask him. The tortured artist without a father or a penny to his name, pulling himself up by his bootstraps to go to Germany and study law, even at the cost of his rock star dreams, only to find himself on the center of the international stage with his debut single and taking on case after case with his camera-shy brother—what a dreamy figure. He really does have it all; nobody else can do it like him.

Ga'ran has long since gotten used to her sister's piercing stare. It lives in her dreams, her nightmares, her every waking hour, and the majority of the ones she's asleep for. A blue that shouldn't be achievable on earth is a sight she can ignore.
But now…now it's not that stare that watches her. This one has that hint of green beneath the surface, a little bit of earth to remind Ga'ran that that boy is oh, so very alive. The Sahdmadhi brat still lives and breathes, beloved by animals and people alike. Those who hate him actually hate his father, but they cannot find that man in his eyes. Nobody sees anything but Amara Sigatar Khura'in in her son's face.

Summary
Nahyuta can't help the little laugh that escapes him at the memory of Apollo's favorite sentence. He regrets it instantly, when he feels how it hurts just about everywhere to do much more than breath in and out slowly, and tries to take in enough air to alleviate the pain. He ends up staring down at his lap and clutching at his chest, vision swimming again.
When he looks back up, it's at Dhurke, the disgraced prince consort and leader of the Defiant Dragons, not Dhurke, Nahyuta's father.
"Yuta, you hate wearing your hair like this."

There's no singing in the Palace, except for Rayfa when she performs the Dance of Devotion, and the only poetry to be found is in holy books he's read hundreds of thousands of times. It's not like that little house where Dhurke was constantly reciting all sorts of stories, entire eddas and epics beneath his breath, only breaking to mutter lullabies to his sons and daughter. Even now, Dhurke speaks in a rhythm, keeping a time only he knows, ready to sing his children to sleep at any moment. -

Summary
It takes approximately six to fifteen minutes for the average adult human male to die from asphyxiation, the inability to take in enough oxygen. Before death, the victim can experience dizziness, nausea, a stroke, a loss of blood flow to the brain, severing of the carotid arteries, and even paralysis as a result of damage to the spinal cord, depending on the method of asphyxiation. In some circumstances, these symptoms are the real killers.
For example, two to three minutes of strangulation by an adult male against a late adolescent male is unlikely to stop the victim's heart on its own. But the pressure exerted against the victim's spine, arteries, and airway can leave the victim breathing and paralyzed for up to several hours before blood loss and exposure kill him. Couple that with leaving the victim on the bank of the harbor at low tide, and death by drowning is almost guaranteed.
