Being forced into an arranged marriage is an eventuality when you're the child of a chief. There's a lot of other baggage it comes with too but we don't talk about that. When it's finally time to get married, no matter when it happens, it feels like it's too soon. One can only hope that the person you're marrying is tolerable and that you'll learn to live with them, just like you've learned to live with all of the other burdens you've taken on in your life. While living on Dragon’s Edge with the Riders, Hiccup hits his head on a regular mission. He wakes up, an amnesiac, with no memories from the past three years, not since the week before he shot down Toothless.
To him, the Riders are nothing more than childhood bullies, the war with the dragons is still ongoing, and as far as he knows, he should still have two legs.
To the Riders, Hiccup is their leader and best friend, lost unless they can bring him back.
