    Reki Kyan isn’t a genius by any means.

    Sure, he’s not dumb. At least he doesn’t think he is. Like, if you were to set a math assignment in front of him, no problem. That’s a breeze. He’ll be done with time to spare and could probably double check his work a solid three times in the time remaining. But if you were to put some English homework in front of him...that’s a different story. He’d sit there and scan the words for a few minutes even though they’re not getting through his skull. Maybe he’d tap his foot and click his pen a little as if it’ll make the time go faster. He’d scribble on the paper a bit, but then end up giving up and trying to do it in the morning by rapidly writing in answers while Langa hovered over his shoulder.

    So Reki’s not a genius.

    But he’s definitely, like, smart to some degree. Right?

    So he’s around 99.91% sure that Langa’s trying to find excuses to touch him.

    Hunter is convinced he's either been cursed or come down with some kind of fatal illness when he starts catching feelings for his new friend Willow.

    "Willow is the reason I'm like this!" Hunter growls in frustration.

    "What?" Amity blinks in surprise. "What could someone as sweet as Willow have possibly done to you?"

    "Well that's the problem, isn't it?" Hunter retorts in a flustered huff, feelings he's been trying to tamper down for weeks spilling out of him in an inelegant rush. "She's just so sweet, and smart, and cool, and funny, and her eyes are like mint sprigs and her hair smells like flowers, and when she smiles she gets these cute little dimples in the corners of her cheeks, and every time I see her, I get this weird little spasm in my chest like I've been electrocuted and my heart starts racing and my skin feels like it's on fire, and it all started happening the day I met her and it's only gotten worse the more we've talked, and I'm kind of freaking out, okay? I don't know what's wrong with me. I don't know what— what's so funny? Why are you laughing?"
