Summary

Keith keeps his arms covered so he doesn't have to watch Shiro's scars compounding on his skin--but doing so means cutting off contact with his romantic soulmate, who greets him each morning with a new (and terrible) pickup line.

Summary

They don't say much, if anything at all, but they leave him with gorgeous paintings temporarily tattooing his skin. It's not exactly the situation he hoped for, but when he feels the connection between them, he can't bring himself to resent them. As much as he wishes his soulmate would just talk to him, he's resigned himself to being patient. In the meantime, he has a loving family and good friends to help him get by.
Keith Kogane dreads the day he'll finally meet his obnoxious soulmate. He's just an art student who's struggling to find his place in the world. There's so much he hasn't been able to control in his life, and the thought of having a soulmate, just another thing in his life which he also has no control over yet can't do anything about, is a little terrifying. So he ignores the words that occasionally appear on his skin. He has other things to focus on: like being a new student at a big university where his childhood friend and step-brother go.

A Very Original Modern AUTM. Voltron, but with less intergalactic peril and more Holt family. Mostly Shiro-centric but with spotlights on just about everybody. Domestic fluff and mental illness feels abound. (Keith has BPD, Shiro and Matt have PTSD, etc.) Lots of Broganes. A bunch of dorky engineers being dorks. Eventual Klance. Slow burn Shiro/Matt. Like... really, really slow. Like nine years worth of slow. Plenty of angst, but no sad endings.

Summary
He could study all he wanted on the psychology behind personality. He could point fingers at the world, at his parents, at himself—nothing made a lick of difference. He knew he was a prick, a complete and total dick, but that wasn’t the whole picture. He just never trusted someone enough to show those other parts of him. He was proud, he was angry, but he was also reclusive, dedicated, and smart. He liked physical affection, he didn’t trust the verbal aspect.
Kirishima could make a list of things that he learned once they started dating; he liked to cook and he was good at it, Bakugou sucked at kissing, he also didn’t know how to golf, he’d never turn Kirishima down when he went to hold his hand or hug him, he listened to American bands and knew just about every word, he was patient when he tutored Kirishima, he’d bitch and complain still but it lost that bite, and when they were alone Bakugou was docile.
But, Kirishima wasn't sure if this was because of him or because of what happened during the training camp.
(Also; the story of how Bakugou can't deny his way out of his mental health and the road in picking yourself back up after a traumatic experience.)
