Summary
On his eighth birthday, Clark wakes up with the sun, feeling as light as the clouds and as strong as the mountains. When he leaps off his bed, the frame buckles beneath him and he hovers for a few seconds before he hits the ground. His shout of joy echoes like thunder through the humble Kansas farmhouse, waking up his parents in the next room. When they rush out of their room to check on their son, they can barely recognize him within the blue blur racing around their living room. The typical fear of change hasn’t settled into his young bones yet – he’s all joyous excitement and reckless wonder with these new gifts he’s been given.
But an hour later, Clark kills his favorite cow by squeezing her a little too hard when saying hello.
OR
Pa Kent sets the foundation for Clark to become the best superhero in the business.
