Summary
It happens fast and without precedent. Something cute happens between the main characters in the movie and Buck turns to smile at Tommy. Tommy smiles back and leans in for what Eddie thinks was supposed to be a quick peck but, almost like they can’t help it—like they forget they’re not supposed to—one peck turns into two quickly turns into full-on making out.
Eddie watches as they get a little lost in each other’s mouths. Maybe he should be uncomfortable—that would be a normal reaction to two of your friends making out less than two feet away from you—but Eddie just feels hot all over. He doesn’t say anything, doesn’t remind them of his presence. Helplessly, desperately, he just watches.

“Yes, please!” he calls back, turning on his music. It'll keep him more focused than thinking about life stuff. He doesn't mind thinking about life stuff, but he'd like to get the painting finished. Athena had wanted something “Bob Ross-ish” for a friend’s birthday at work.
A few minutes later, Evan slides Tommy's coffee over and puts down a plate with what looks to be a turkey sandwich on it.
“Thank you, baby,” Tommy says, tipping his face up for a kiss.

Summary
Tommy has been gone fighting fires for a month as vital air support, which would be fine—except for the fact that Buck has finally gotten a taste of sex with Tommy only for it to be cruelly whisked away. Buck finally gets his chance to join the firefighting efforts on the front lines and hopefully, someday before the world ends, ideally, he’ll get to see Tommy again.
There is a chance that Buck is being a little overdramatic about the whole thing, but a month is a really long time to go without the wonder of your brand new boyfriend.
