Summary
In the end, letting his mind’s brilliance shine only led to the destruction and demise of his and his brother - their morals if not everything else.
So, was he truly damned, the boy of stars, who was a carbon copy of him in wits, if William helped him? William could let him be, find his own place, unstained of the blood on William's hands - but that begs the question.Would William feel victorious had he chosen the path of light when he was younger? Would he be satisfied?
Would William let himself extend his rusted hands towards the eager boy, the result and the consequence that came with his approaches, and risk?
This bright and resilient boy had so much ahead of him. This orphan had a future so bright that it seemed as though he was heading towards the morning star.
William could only hope that it won’t disappear - just like his has done, as the kaleidoscopic light that shines within him simmers out into the nothing that is awful darkness, slowly enveloping, eating at his world of psychedelic constellations into a consuming abyss.

Tim wouldn’t go that far. He’s seen Jason around a few times since he started high school this year and he generally looks mulish and tired, not to mention a foot taller than him. The job his parents have given him tonight – becoming best friends with the second Wayne heir – seems somewhere between optimistic and impossible.
He doesn’t say any of this to his parents, however. He’s no fool.
Or: Tim and Jason meet at a gala. Tim can’t be lonely, even if he doesn’t have any friends at school, cause he’s always surrounded by people. There. Easy. Jason, on the other hand, isn’t just lonely – he’s the street rat in a sea of rich kids, and they make sure he never forgets it. Perhaps divine providence isn’t too inaccurate after all.
Alternatively, the one where Jason gets cast in the school musical, Tim's trying to figure out why Robin's getting bullied, and Jack and Janet Drake are on the hunt. Trouble's afoot...
