"Hm?" He knew Ilya was half sleep already but he needed to get this out of his chest, and out of his mind.
"Do you… do you know how lately you've been…" He stammered. God, this was embarrassing.
"Yes?" He sat with his back against the headboard to let him know that he had his full attention and scanned Shane's face, he was blushing. Cute.
"Lately you've been… spanking me… and I-"
Oh no, Ilya's heart sank to his stomach. "Shane, did I hurt you? I- I thought you liked it, we talked about it-"
"No, no! I love it, that's the thing. I want you to do it… more."
"Shane Hollander, are you saying that you want me to punish you?"
Shane loved this man, he loved how he knew him so well. He didn't have to say it, he didn't have to go through that embarrassing moment because Ilya knew, he always knew. "Yes."

He had a routine for everything—a certain way he did his laundry, folded his clothes, brushed his teeth—everything was controlled. If it had a place, it was in its place.
Which is why, he was so taken aback when he came home (a little earlier than expected), entered his bedroom, and saw what looked like the aftermath of a Kansas level tornado—with his husband standing right in the middle of it.
(or, Ilya makes a mess in Shane and his bedroom, and Shane forces him to clean it up while he watches. And touches himself.)
