Summary
Before we get to a specific scene, you should know one thing. It was December, so coldness was kinda normal. But a miracle just happened a few days before. A big snowstorm came over London and since that day it has been snowing heavily. Sometimes it was even hard to see through the snowy fog.
And on that particular Wednesday, the consequences of the snowstorm were making themselves felt more than ever. When Crowley was about to leave, she heard a ring bell. She pulled a handle and because of the weight of something (or someone), she fell. Still in shock, she was lying on the black carpet, being trapped under somebody, feeling the cold of the unlocked door. And then Crowley heard a silent voice next to her ear.
,,It is quite wonderful weather today, isn't it?”

A year after their separation, Crowley is a mess and Aziraphale still has regrets about how things ended. After much soul searching — and some help from Muriel and a romantic movie— they finally reunite, with both consequences and earthly delights to discover once they're back together.
They linger in the doorway, their shoulders nearly touching. Aziraphale is exceedingly aware of Crowley’s proximity, his lean form propped casually against the door frame, one hip slightly thrust out. It feels like electricity is leaping from his body directly into his own.
Crowley senses Aziraphale next to him, can smell his intoxicating cologne, and suddenly wants very badly to taste his soft mouth again. They spent the entire day together, yet they didn’t venture into this territory. They had been recalibrating, adjusting. There were still so many unknowns, but in this small space in the night, the focus had narrowed to just them.

The demon listened to the proposition, his unsure gaze dropping to Aziraphale’s fidgeting fingers as he mulled it over. He took a cursory glance at the remaining case of wine as if it had an impact on the decision. A clearing of his throat brought back Crowley’s brusque tone, “Yeah, sure. W’not?”

Without the looming threat of their previous head offices, Crowley and Aziraphale come up with a drinking game to share things about themselves. Just like normal people in love do.

Aziraphale shrugged. “I think it’s rather sweet. A kiss for good luck. Seems a nice way to start the year. Very human.”
Crowley nodded. “Can’t seem to keep their hands off each other, that lot. Always finding excuses. First it’s mistletoe at Christmas, then it’s luck for the New Year…”
“Well there’s no need to be so grouchy about it,” Aziraphale said. “I think it’s lovely.”
Crowley’s heart ached a little more as he watched Aziraphale smile up at the glowing numbers on the building above them.
Yeah, he thought, lovely.
Five times Crowley thought about kissing Aziraphale on New Year's Eve, and one time he did.
