Sam's wall is broken. He thinks about all his encounters with Lucifer and takes drastic measures to keep his hallucinations at bay:
Sam watched hazily as the blood oozed from the fresh cuts, licking long strips down his palms where it pooled in their depths. When it overflowed, it spilled on the wet, yellowed tiles of the bathroom. He watched with inconsequential fascination as the blood swirled into delicate patterns, mixing and diluting with the water on the floor.

“Stop whining,” Cas said. “Finish your outline and we’ll go. There’s beer at the apartment. We’ll put on Star Wars and pretend we never set foot in the library over break.”
“Castiel Novak,” Dean said, putting his hand to his heart, “you are the wind beneath my wings.”
“Idiot,” Cas said affectionately, hoping Dean didn’t notice the hot flush creeping up his neck. He snatched his pen back and returned to his paper.
They worked in silence for several minutes, punctuated only by Dean’s occasional groans of boredom. Finally he pushed his laptop away and opened his mouth to complain when another clap of thunder shook the walls, much louder than before, and the lights flickered briefly.

“You’re kidding me,” Dean says flatly.
“Do I look like I’m kidding you?” Missouri asks, raising her eyebrows at him.
“Missouri—”
“Headmaster Mosely to you, boy,” she snaps, and there’s just enough reverb to her voice that Dean’s tail twitches out from behind his ankles and slaps its spade-shaped tip around in front of his knee, tightening to a sharp point. She doesn’t even look down as she adds, “And you’re going to want to put that away.”
Dean slumps into the chair, his black tail draping pathetically off the seat like a dead snake rather than curling itself up properly behind him, and sighs. “Really?” he asks, a little more quietly. “Castiel? You’re asking me to tutor Castiel?"

Summary
When Dean’s best friend Charlie suggests that he take a course on fiction at the local college, he decides to give it a try. Thinking it could be beneficial for his job at the library and also give him the inspiration he needs to continue writing, Dean signs up for Professor Novak’s Science Fiction and Fantasy class. What he wasn't expecting was for the professor to be a fantasy himself. All sex hair, black liner, and tattooed in poetry, Dean is lucky he can swallow in his teacher’s presence, let alone speak sanely and intelligently. He may be the oldest student in the class, but Professor Novak merely has to look at Dean with those deep blue eyes lined in black kohl to turn him into a stuttering teenager with a crush.
Luckily for Dean, Professor Novak doesn't seem to mind at all.
