Excerpt: "“You’re a saint.” Henry murmured, sounding slightly delirious. Alex tried not to smile. He tucked some of Henry’s bed-tossed hair back behind his ears.
“Am not. I just care about you.” His eyes fell to David as he said it. “David was worried too. He got me for you. Why didn’t you call?”
Henry shifted. Alex adjusted his grip on the ice pack to make sure it wouldn’t slip off his boyfriend’s head. For a moment he thinks Henry either can’t answer or didn’t hear him. Should he repeat the question. But then…
“Sorry. I just didn’t want to worry you. Either of you. This one's just,” Henry swallowed and finished, “a really awful one.”
With his other hand Alex brushed his fingers down the side of Henry’s cheek, tenderly. Something painful twisted beneath his ribs. He rested his hand against Henry’s cheek. "Baby," he softly said, "part of loving you is worrying about you. That comes with the territory.”"

Summary
After leaving the army with his injury, Eddie had been suffering from migraines. Something about the helicopter crash and all the physical trauma he endured there left him with chronic headaches, many of them turning to migraines. He knew how to deal with them, and he knew how to hide them. He hid them so well that when he decided to show his new boyfriend how he wanted to act, Buck was shocked.
Over the months of their relationship, Buck studied up on migraines and how to help and they created a system that they’ve mostly perfected to help manage Eddie’s pain. Turns out that addressing his symptoms helped make sure they didn’t last as long most of the time, who would’ve thought. The migraines stopped lasting for days and went away by the next time he woke up.
This time was different, though.

“Eddie,” Buck called put, “you in…” Words left him as he came across a shirtless Eddie standing in the middle of the locker room with an adorable frown. He had his shirt in his hands trying to get something out of it. By the looks of it, he wasn’t winning. “You need backup,” Buck teased with a smile. “The stupid vent left this,” he pointed at the shirt, “all over my shirt. I wouldn’t really care but it smells like crap.” He sounded defeated and was slightly pouting. It was cute, so Buck decided to have mercy. “I have an extra shirt you can wear. I have tons so just keep it.” He made his way to his locker and fished out a clean LAFD shirt. He tossed it at Eddie and watched him put it on. “Thanks Buck, I can always count on you.” Eddie bumped their shoulders together as he made his way out.

Buck loves Eddie but has yet to say anything. After Eddie gets hit on while on a call, Buck realizes Eddie is not as straight as he thought.

He’d been playing pool for the last half hour, seemingly busy joking around with a group of tourists who were losing badly, but Alex knew that he’d been fully aware of Alex’s presence the whole time, that all he had to do was wait. He didn’t have to keep his eyes on Michael to know that.
“Hey,” he matched Michael’s easy tone. “You having a good night?”
“Yeah totally, seems luck was on my side tonight,” he winked and Alex shook his head.
“I bet.”
“Care for some company?”
“Sure.”
