“Make me your companion, Yoo Jonghyuk.” The man doesn’t ask, but tells him instead.
“And why would I do that?” retorts Yoo Jonghyuk. He knows that the man has noticed the silver circlet on his head, one that indicates his royal descent. He knows it because the man had grinned up at it, as if entertained.
He is holding the man by the lapel, his feet dangling over the edge of the bridge. In the waters below reside monsters, ones that Yoo Jonghyuk has fought before and knows well.
Still, the man is unruffled even as a gust of wind makes feet sway above empty air.
“I can make you King,” he smiles. His eyes meet Yoo Jonghyuk’s straight on, like an equal.
It annoys Yoo Jonghyuk to no end, but maybe, just maybe it thrills him as well.
So he lets go, and the man falls to the waters below, curses trailing after him.
or, Crown Prince Yoo Jonghyuk is on a quest to get back his kingdom; his self-declared companion seems to have more than a few secrets.
