He tuned out the squabbling men across from them to Fucile, leaning in to hear him better. “What’s up, bro?”
“It’s nice to see you smile, a real one I mean, not that crap you put on for the media.” Fucile teased.
He laughed nervously. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, man. I laugh all the time.” He finished off his statement with a patented Ken Sato laugh and a sip of his drink. It didn’t taste as good anymore.
Fucile just hummed in response. He looked amused, leaning away from Kenji so he could see him better. He had a stupid, lazy smirk on his face as he dragged his eyes up and down Kenji’s frame.
Kenji felt distinctly like prey about to be eaten by a predator.
Not taking his eyes off of Kenji, Fucile grabbed his glass off of the table, downing the rest of it in one go. Still smirking, he finally turned away.
“Fine, keep your secrets then, Ken Sato.”

She opened her mouth to speak, but hesitated. Closing her mouth, she nodded, "Do it." A pause. "Please.." she added.
The old woman grinned, raising one wrinkled hand. Mulan placed her own hand in the woman's palm. The candle blew out, casting them into sudden darkness. The woman's grin only widened, moonlight glinting off of her teeth as Mulan vision faded. to. black..

Danny was going to scream. For once, (once!) he'd been minding his own business, just trying to get to school, but of course the ancients-damned universe couldn't just let him get one normal day.
So far in the last hour Danny had gotten sucked through a natural portal, freaking mugged like his life was some b rate gangster movie, been thrown through ANOTHER portal, and, to top it all off, he was stuck in a demon trap in the middle of the woods in who knows where with no one else around.
What was his life?
Or: Danny has a very, very bad day. This leads to a worse day, some new people, and eventually, a somewhat better day.

Aziraphale felt pity for the poor security guards. They were just trying to do their jobs. But oh, Aziraphale had learned better than to come between Crowley and his things. The demon tried to hide it, of course, but he got just as attached as Aziraphale to the items he had collected over the millennia.
Crowley snorted. He turned his nose up at the guards. “No, I think not.” Then the lights in the exhibit cut out, descending the room into pitch black darkness. The next thing Aziraphale knew, the two of them were standing in his flat above the bookshop.
Or: Aziraphale just wants a quiet afternoon at the museum, Crowley just wants his hat back, and the underpaid security guard just wants to be on the news
