Summary
If Aizawa Shota could be summed up in one word, it would be logical. If something wasn’t logical, if it didn’t make sense or lead to the most favorable outcome, then he saw no point in doing it. Of course, there were situational exceptions, but logic was what Aizawa’s entire thought process was based on. It just made sense. Living a life ruled by emotions was something that Aizawa had tried lots of times to understand, but that he could just never grasp.
So, when he suddenly wanted comfort, wanted someone to tell him it would be okay, to hold him and shush him and let him cry until he fell asleep... That was new, and honestly, it scared him a bit.

The tears Izuku managed to hold back earlier fill his eyes again, and he bites hard at his lip. He’s seven now; he has to be brave. “I’m okay,” he says softly. “Th-thank you for saving me.”
Those strange, dark eyes soften a little. “It’s my job,” he says simply.
Still. Izuku never got to thank him, the first time.
Izuku gets hit by a quirk that de-ages him to seven years old, and relearns what it means to be taken care of.

Following the events of episode 7, Wolfwood does what he can to care for Vash after collapsing in the Plant's room, and all goes well until he is faced with a Vash that doesn't recall most of his life or how he ended up here. Well, Wolfwood owed Vash more than just this so he would make it work. it couldn't take that long for him to go back to normal right?
(no physical age regression or anything, Vash just loses his memories of a lot of his adulthood for a bit from straining himself like an idiot.)
