Giyuu is sent out to accompany Kyojuro on his missions and to secretly serve as his bodyguard while the rest of the Corps tries to track down Akaza and slay him. But Giyuu has never spent this much time alone with the Flame Hashira, and as new and unknown feelings begin to bud inside him, he struggles to understand himself and the emotions he is starting to feel towards Kyojuro.

Shadow hates his high school.
He has one friend, Rouge, and she isn't always around to scare his bullies away. There's a blue hedgehog who occasionally talks to him too, but Shadow tries to stay away from him outside of track because he worries he'll be teased for associating with the likes of Shadow.
Not that Sonic seems to care about that. At all.
Okay, so Shadow has two friends, both of whom attend the first school dance of the year, Shadow and Rouge in the corner judging everyone and Sonic surrounded by friends as always. After a certain echidna asks Rogue to dance with him, Shadow is alone and, most importantly, bored.
Until someone dares Shadow to ask Sonic to dance and, to his surprise, Sonic says yes.
Thus begins Shadow's third year of high school.
Thus begins Shadow's crush.

It’s not until a blue hedgehog with incredible speed and power rises to rival the Doctor's machines that Mobians start to hope again for a better future with freedom and peace.
The Resistance is painting the streets blue, destroying machinery, claiming back what was taken from them with blood, sweat and tears. It’s a matter of time before they destroy the empire that Eggman had built in their home.
But the Doctor won’t let the crown be taken from him so easily. Not when he has now discovered the Ultimate Weapon that may end Sonic and the Resistance once and for all.

Desperation fills his being as the sounds get louder, indicating that GUN is drawing closer. He can pick out human voices, detached and monotonous commands, ordering a thorough search of the area. He needs to leave now.
So Shadow reaches within himself, reaching for the remnants of his energy, trying to find somewhere, anywhere, to go. He tries to think of some place safe, something he knows.
A vivid image pops into his mind. One with deep blue quills, green eyes and the most hopeful smile he has seen in a long time. Shadow reaches for it, for him, and allows himself to be pulled away. The air crackles around him, and he can feel the world twisting, turning, and the greenery disappears with a snap.
Sonic, he thinks, and moves across the world, tethered by the only thing he still knows.
