I was looking through some files recently and found drafts of some stories I started a while ago. Figured I could continue writing it.

Chapter 1: He has a grandson

Chapter Text

“We should have gone behind Dumbledore’s back and sent a letter to Harry! Dumbledore would never have to know!” Ron exclaimed.

“Dumbledore probably has a reason for why he doesn’t want Harry knowing about the Order. Besides, I think he would have been able to find out.” Hermione argued.

“You know that Harry will be very angry once he arrives.” Ron said.

“Probably.” Hermione looked down. Both of them felt bad about not being able to tell Harry about what was going on.

“Dinner is ready!” Mrs. Weasley called out.

They walked downstairs and joined the other members of the Order at the dining table for dinner. They were all enjoying the meal when Dumbledore came into the room looking worried and agitated. His usually twinkling eyes were dimmer.

“What’s wrong?” Sirius asked.

“It appears that Voldemort has a grandson.” Dumbledore replied.

“What?!?!” By now everyone had the same expression on their face as Dumbledore.

“Yes. We found out that he had a daughter named Sally, but once he found out that his daughter was a squib, he sent her to America. Her son Perseus, however, seems to be very powerful.” Dumbledore explained with a grave look on his face.

“Wait, Perseus? What’s his last name?” Lupin asked, a look of panic growing on his face.

“Jackson. His name is Perseus Jackson.” Dumbledore replied as most people shared confused glances at the werewolf’s pale face which somehow grew even more pale.

“Umm.. I have to go now.” Lupin rushed out of the room.

“What was that all about?” Hermione wondered aloud, sharing the thoughts of everyone else.

“He’s probably as evil as You-Know-Who and scared Lupin.” Ron sneered.

“Actually, we suspect that Perseus doesn’t know he’s a wizard or that Voldemort is his grandfather.” Dumbledore said. Some of the panic left the faces of everyone, but some were a bit confused at this.

“Wait, if he’s not a threat, then why do you look so worried?” Sirius asked.

“Severus has informed me that Voldemort is now aware of his grandson’s existence.” Dumbledore nodded towards Snape. “I am worried that Voldemort will find Perseus first and turn him to his side. I want to get to him before Voldemort does so that we can turn him against Voldemort while educating about his magic.”

“I suppose that does make sense.” Hermione mused.

“Where is he going to go after you fetch him?” Mr. Weasly asked, bringing up a good question.

Dumbledore already had an answer for him. “Hogwarts. The teachers there will be teaching him as much magic as they can over the summer so when he joins the 7th years he won’t be too far behind everyone else.”

“7th year! That’s so old! Why didn’t we find out about this when he turned 11?” Sirius exclaimed.

Dumbledore sighed. “I don’t know. I can only assume that there was powerful magic preventing us from finding out about his existence. I just don’t know why.”

“Have you found out where they live?” Mrs. Weasley asked.

“In America. More specifically, in New York City.” Dumbledore replied.

Percy was having the best day. No nightmares about Tartarus for the first time since he and Annabeth had gotten out of that hellish place a few weeks ago. He had just gotten word that his mother was pregnant with his baby sister, and he was going to visit her later today.

He stepped out of the shower and started drying himself off when Annabeth stormed into the Poseidon cabin not knowing he was undressed.

“It’s really late. You should really get some breakfast…” She trailed when she saw him. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t know you were taking a shower. Um, I'll wait for you by the ocean” She awkwardly left the cabin as Percy stared at her.

Percy put on some shorts, and looked around at his different shirts. He had a bunch of orange Camp Half-Blood t-shirts that were torn, but he didn’t really care. Percy took one of the shirts and pulled it over his head. He grabbed the beaded necklace as he walked out towards the dining pavilion for breakfast.

Once Percy finished breakfast, he went to go find Annabeth. She was sitting on the beach by the ocean, just where she had said he could find her. He sat down next to her

“Hi Annabeth.”

Annabeth gave a start of surprise. Clearly, she was lost in her own thoughts while staring at the water. “I'm happy that everything is over.” She looked over to Percy. “I mean, the gods are claiming and visiting their kids all thanks to you Percy. The wars are over and we can just relax now. Live our lives.”

“Yeah. We can grow old in New Rome.” Percy thought about it and a smile grew on his face. “Yeah. We can even go to college. Oh, did I tell you? I’m visiting my mom today.”

Annabeth shook her head. “No, you didn’t.”

“Well, I’m visiting my mom. I’m leaving in several minutes.” Percy said.

“That’s great! When are you coming back?” Annabeth was happy that Percy had a good relationship with his mortal parent and could visit her regularly, as she couldn’t say the same about herself.

“I’m going to stay there for the weekend. I’m planning on heading back home by Monday.” Percy replied.

“Got it. Well, you better get going then. Bye Percy.” They gave each other a hug, and Percy gave Annabeth a quick peck on the cheek before standing up and walking away.

Percy knocked on the door. “Oh, Percy! You’re here!” Sally exclaimed as she opened the door. She didn’t get to see her son a lot as he was at camp most of the time. They embraced each other until an alarm sounded.

“What’s that alarm for?” Percy looked around panicked, his hand jumping to Riptide.

Sally waved it off. “It’s just the alarm for the blue cookies I’m making. Come on, come inside. I need to take them out of the oven before they burn.”

Percy went inside the apartment and immediately crashed on the couch next to Paul while Sally went to the kitchen to retrieve the cookies from the oven.

Paul looked over at Percy. “Oh, welcome back Percy! I’ve missed you.”

“Hey Paul! Good to see you again!” Percy said.

Sally poked her head into the living room. “Cookies are ready for eating! Who wants to eat them while they're still hot?”

As Percy got up to go follow his mother to the kitchen, there was a knock on the door. All three heads instantly swiveled to look at the door. They weren’t expecting any company that day. Percy conveniently decided he was going to go to his room at that moment while Sally went to the door and looked through the peephole before she opened the door.
