Chapter Text
Mizuki's eyes narrowed as she spotted her target. Pheromosa. She had been stealing Z-crystals from trail goers which frankly, was becoming annoying. All she wanted to do right now was to go back to Aether Paradise, see her girlfriend and enjoy Wicke's cooking! Mizuki practically salivated at the idea but she quickly shook her head. Slowly taking out her Crobat's pokéball, she extended her arm, readying herself for a battle. "Hey!" She called out. Pheromosa's head tilted upwards but payed the girl no mind. Letting out a small sigh, the girl's lips tilted upwards as a confident smile graced her lips. "Alright."
Although before she could even start the battle, the air suddenly chilled. "Phero?" The Ultra Beast suddenly stood up, on edge. The girl looked around, bracing for an ambush. However, an Ultra Wormhole suddenly formed ontop of her. The black-haired girl let out a small yelp of surprise as she suddenly lost her footing. "Crap!" The girl yelled out before throwing her RotomDex onto the ground. "Rotom! Tell Lillie that an Ultra Wormhole got me!" She yelled at the PokéDex before disappearing into the Wormhole.
All the colours were always extremely beautiful in the Wormhole. The girl stared in awe as her body flew threw the endless stream of colour. When she could feel her body start to get pulled to a nearby portal, she immediately braced for impact. "Crap, crap, crap, crap." She cursed to herself as she pulled her body into herself. After a bright flash of light, she was falling. Gasping, she immediately braced for impact with the ground.
As she crashed into the trees below her, she made sure to protect her head. It wasn't the first time she had fell into a forest but was certainly annoying to deal with. As she landed on the ground with a thump she let out a low groan. "Shit..." she cursed out before clasping her hand over her mouth. "Mama don't like me using that word!" Regaining her composer, she noticed that she was bleeding, but not too deeply. That was good at least. She would deal with it later, for now, she needs to figure out where the hell she was.
Surveying the area, she suddenly heard a loud scream. Immediately taking action, she ran towards its general direction. Then, she spotted it. An odd looking Pokémon with... chainsaws all over its body and its brain exposed. Gross, attacking a green-haired woman. Taking action, she released Kommo-o from his Pokéball. "Kommo-o! Hyper beam!" She ordered the pseudo legendary to attack the odd Pokémon.
Running over to the woman, she immediately went to assess the woman. She was bleeding heavily. Most of her wounds were on her arms and abdomen areas. "Are you alright ma'am?" The woman, stunned, stared at Mizuki.
"You... you shouldn't be here," she spoke Kantonian.
Blinking, Mizuki immediately switched languages. "If I didn't arrive then you would probably more injured then you already are, ma'am." Mizuki took the woman's arm to assess her injuries. "Can you stand?"
The woman seemed weary, but complied. "Yes..." her yellow eyes flicked up to the dragon/fighting type that was currently battling the chainsaw Pokémon.
"Ah, don't worry about Kommo-o!" Mizuki smiled. "His scales are super duper tough! Nothing can go through them!"
"Is that your quirk? Kommo-o?"
Mizuki, still smiling tilted her head in confusion. "He's sure as hell spontaneous! But not quirky!"
As soon as she said that, a loud crash rang out. Both of their heads turned to Kommo-o standing victorious over the chainsaw Pokémon. Mizuki pumped her fist up in the air. "Hell yeah! You're the best!" Kommo-o's tail wagged as he began to nuzzle his trainer. "Yeah you did a good job! Who did a good job? You did!" The girl began to laugh as the dragon licked her face.
The green-haired woman stared the two in disbelief, as if that chainsaw... thing, hadn't tried to kill her. Her gaze turning to the woman, she grabbed her hand. "If you're having trouble walking, Kommo-o can carry you! He's great at that!"
Letting out a sigh, the green-haired woman nodded. "Thank you." After a moment of silence, the woman spoke up. "If you don't mind me asking, what's your name?"
Mizuki proudly puffed out her chest. "Mizuki! The first ever Champion of Alola!"
After another moment of silence, the black-haired girl chuckled awkwardly. "I... don't think that means anything here..." straightening up, she asked a question. "What's your name ma'am?"
"Ragdoll. I'm a rescue hero."
Mizuki's eyes sparkled. "Ooh! I have no idea what that means but it sounds important!" Climbing on Kommo-o's back, she pointed in front of her. "I don't know where we are so Kommo-o can carry you where you need to go! Can't you boy?"
Ragdoll let out a small sigh before pointing northwest. "We need to head back to camp. I need to make sure that all my students are okay." Mizuki recited what to do in Alolan and Kommo-o took off, sprinting in the direction they needed to go.
As they ran, a voice rang out in their heads. "The boy with the name of Kacchan is being targeted by the League of Villains! Kacchan, return to camp!"
Ragdoll's eyes narrowed. "I don't know anyone by the name of Kacchan. I believe it's a nickname."
"If you want, I can look for him?" Mizuki offered.
Ragdoll shook her head. "No. I'm sure my teammates will find him before whatever the League wants him for happens."
Soon enough, they entered a clearing with a small building in the center of it. Ragdoll let out a sigh seeing it. "I need to make sure that the students are okay."
Mizuki nodded. As Kommo-o set Ragdoll down on the ground, Mizuki wrapped her arms around the woman to secure her. "Kommo-o, if anyone shifty comes near, alert me, okay?" The dragon nodded as the two girls slowly walked into the building.
Mizuki noted that Ragdoll was bleeding pretty heavily, but not too badly in the grand scheme of things. Her condition would most likely be due to exhaustion then anything.
"Vlad! Eraser!" Ragdoll called out for her co-workers(?) as they entered the building.
"Ragdoll!" A man with short blue hair opened the door. As soon as his eyes landed on Mizuki, however, his eyes narrowed. "A villain?"
Ragdoll shook her head. "No not a villain. At least not one working with the League. She saved my life from a nomu."
"A nomu? Pretty weird name for a Pokémon!" Mizuki chirped, as if nothing bad was going on.
"Pokémon...?" The man with blue hair questioned.
Mizuki stared at him with a blank face. "Ah..." Before Mizuki could explain herself, a loud metal clanging could be heard. Mizuki's face hardened. "Somebody's out there."
The blue-haired man's eyes widened as did Ragdoll's. "Is that what you ment by Kommo-o alerting you?"
Mizuki nodded, handing Ragdoll over to the blue-haired man. "As Champion it's my duty to protect you all!" She declared before a smile graced her face. "Besides, I've been looking for a challenge." Sprinting outside, she ordered Kommo-o to attack. "Kommo-o! Dragon claw!" Immediately, the dragon's claws turned purple as a man with a patchwork face barely dodged out of the way.
The man eyed the girl down. "Tomura didn't mention a black-haired girl with a dragon..."
Mizuki smiled. "And I've never seen a man with cool ass scares like that before," she shrugged. "I suppose we're both at a disadvantage." Mizuki wasn't the best at being antagonistic, she was aware of that. She pointed at the man. "If you don't back down then I'm afraid we'll have to use force, right Kommo-o?" The dragon nodded, his gaze never leaving the man.
There was a tense silence before fire was produced from the man's hands. Mizuki's eyes lit up at this display. "Wait a sec, how'd you do that? That's cool! Like super-duper ultra cool!" The man stared at the excitable girl as Kommo-o face palmed at his trainer's excitement.
In the moment of confusion, blood suddenly came flying at the patchwork man. Mizuki turned around to see that it was the blue-haired man's power. "Woah..." her eyes were practically sparkling at the display of powers. "How'd you do that?!"
The man chose not to acknowledge the girl's awe as he interrogated the man with the scars. "What do you want with Katsuki Bakugo?" The man interrogated.
The man with fire powers could only grin. "Wouldn't you like to know? Even if we fail, we will have still instilled doubt in the general public about heroes. I'd say we won either way." And with that, he disappeared into a pile of grey gloop.
Mizuki was absolutely and totally lost. "That... he didn't answer the question?" She was absolutely confused. It was only then did she remember that she was bleeding. "Oh yeah." She turned up towards the man. "Do you have any bandages mister?"
The man could only stare at Mizuki. "Go inside into the classroom and look after Ragdoll."
Giving a silent thumbs up, Mizuki pulled out Kommo-o's pokéball and called the Pokémon back. Giving the Pokémon some praise, she made her way into the classroom, following the man's instructions.
