It was a shame that Thor was his war bride's son; all for his heir's behaviour was easy to indulge for his reminder of Hela's earlier, gentler years, Odin was so very often struck by how Vanir he looked.
If only Hela hadn't been a woman and thus afflicted by the madness of her sex, perhaps she would still be by his side. A man's appetites would never have grown so lustful as hers; it was good that he had saved the Realms - and her - from her sickness before it truly got out of hand.

Summary

On the way, he spots something strange floating in space—a wormhole. A real, honest-to-god wormhole. It could be his ticket to fame and fortune! His chance to get his family off dust-bowl Earth and onto Altea, the wondrous new planet humanity has its sights set on.
Unfortunately, Lance gets sucked into the wormhole instead. His ship gets utterly fucked. There are no communications. He’s stranded on an expansive, unknown planet, and must survive and figure out how to get home.
At first, it seems like the planet’s wealth of resources might be exactly what his family needs for a better life. But when Lance discovers there’s an entire alien civilization living there—and finds himself forming a tentative bond with a curious (and pretty) alien—he realizes the right choice might not be so clear after all.
