“I… kinda thought you’d be biting my neck,” Tree admitted slowly, eyes darting away for a moment.
“The veins in your neck are big, so they’ll bleed a lot. If I drank from your neck, you’d bleed out within minutes,” Fanny illuminated, a bit too casually for how morbid of a concept that was. Tree hummed, not having much to say in response. Fanny looked down at his arm, staring for a few seconds before opening her mouth, long fangs popping out from two slits in front of her top row of teeth. Then, after carefully aligning herself with a vein, she bit down.

It’d started raining thirty minutes ago, people going outside to splash in puddles and feel the water drip down their faces. Then, when the rain didn’t stop pouring in massive blobs, those very same people retreated back inside, shivering from the cold and soaking wet. Fanny, when the rain had started, had thought nothing of it, continuing to read her book, only slightly annoyed by the incessant pattering on her bedroom window.
It took the first strike of lightning for Fanny to realize just what kind of storm she was dealing with.

Summary
Blackhole is a superhero, one of the only ones is Goiky. It feels like there’s villains everywhere, and he can only catch a break when he’s with his friends/roomates.
Tree is Blackhole’s best friend, but is that the whole truth? He doesn’t know how to feel about the man, does he want to stay friends? Or does he want something more?
Marker doesn’t know what’s going on with Blackhole, but he knows that something’s up. For all he acts like an idiot, he’s more perceptive than people give him credit for.
Fanny is trying to juggle her gruelling job while keeping up her relationships with her friends. It would be easier if she wasn’t constantly worrying about Blackhole and patching up his battle wounds every night.

Grian tried to roll off of his mangled wing, a string of broken chirps spilling from his lips as he did so, pain spiking through the limb. He lay on his stomach, drained and exhausted and hurt, and the tears continued to fall to the freezing cobbles beneath him.
“The snap wasn’t real, you’re…you’re faking it. You’re…this isn’t real, this is a trap…” Pause. “Okay. Fine. I’m…I’m coming over. But no sudden moves. I…I’m bigger than you, I know where your weak spots are, you can’t attack me and win.”
A quiet shuffling sound came from in front of him, slightly to his right, and it was getting closer. He tried to shrink back, but for his efforts, he received another spike of agony through his wing. He weakly chirped, hurt-hurt-help-please, and the shuffling stopped.
“Okay, I’m gonna…I’m gonna touch you now, you can’t…don’t move.”

Summary
Patton is a child who has been lost in the system. Bounced from family to family because of his shy, skittish personality, until an emergency gets him pulled out of his last nightmare of a home, into a new family which seems actually... nice. But the nice ones, the good ones, never want him. He's sure Roman and Virgil will just lose patience soon and send him back.
They're determined to do literally everything and anything to help Patton, and would never even dream of returning him. Convincing Patton of that, is a challenge.
