Summary
An attempt to raise a child from the dead instead summons a different boy entirely.
Alphonse Elric was supposed to lose his body to the gate. Instead, the night he tries to raise his mother from the dead, he wakes up somewhere else entirely. His body should be gone, soul bound into armor. He remembers how it’s supposed to go.
Now he’s alone in a world where nothing makes sense, where magic turns flowers to butterflies and pictures can speak. A world where a lot of people would love to get their hands on a boy summoned by resurrection with secrets from another world.
And, with the wizarding world gearing up for war, his death might ruin two worlds.

Susan found herself telling the whole sorry ridiculous story about how Mom had said yet again that she couldn’t go to college this year, that if Susan wanted to do anything Mom-approved – anything with horses or guns or the outdoors – Mom would support her all the way, but otherwise she needed to bring in money and help with the house, because her brother and her dad weren’t any good at any of that stuff, men were just like that, and Annie was still at school, and school was important of course – and Ray nodded and made encouraging noises.

While there are some superheroics to be had, the emphasis of these stories is on family (mostly the kind you find), friendship, and the endless will they/won't they that is Clark and Lois. If you like an internal monologue and slice-of-life style stories, this might right up your alley.

It’s hard to stay cynical in the face of Clark Kent and his relentless optimism. Looking at him there, still in his button up shirt from his business trip, sleeves rolled up, still focused even though it’s pushing midnight, she feels a warm, steady wave of fondness in her chest.
She wishes they could do this every night. Not the pulling a furious all-nighter right after someone tried to murder her – that part she could take or leave. But it would be nice to spend every evening with Clark. She’d always told herself she liked her space, but being with Clark was like having space and having company rolled into one.
Her highly caffeinated, sleep-deprived brain catches up with the implications of that thought process, and she thinks, shit.
After years of pining after an alien demi-god who is, much as she hates to admit it, miles out of her league, Lois realises she's caught feelings for her co-worker. Unsure whether or not to tell him, she seeks advice from the most sensitive guy she knows - Superman. Things don't go as she expected...
