These are the questions sphinx Veritas Ratio is asking about his partner, the last unicorn, Aventurine.

Next in this long line is one Veritas Ratio, who has his own difficult reputation to wrestle with. Known as strict and impossible to please, Ratio always gets his way in the end. As Aventurine runs out of potential coaching options, their two skating worlds finally meet while Aventurine struggles to pass this final level: the Gold Singles Test.

He has carved stone statues that are pleasing to the eye, painted works on canvas that are enjoyable to look at, sketched charcoal drawings that one would glance at and say “It looks good!” before moving on to the next.
But he has never once made something truly beautiful.
Or: It's Aventurine's final critique of the semester, and he decides to carve a life-size human figure out of marble. It will be beautiful. I'm sure nothing will go wrong.
